The innovation center “Information and Communication Technologies for Verticals” (ICT4V) and “Centro de Análisis de Big Data” (CABIDA) are pleased to announce the first workshop on Big and Complex Data Theory, Applications and Value Creation.

This event will synergistically combine high level international competences from academia and innovative enterprises to provide an integrated view of the field and to promote collaboration and the emergence of innovative projects.

The list of covered verticals includes Agriculture, Biology & Biotechnology, Finances, Transportation, Energy, Water & Wastewater, Environment, Social Sciences and more.

The agenda includes keynote talks from internationally well-known experts in the domain, scientific talks, a short course, the presentation of technology evolutions and various successful use cases. Relevant regional policy-makers will interact in the context of a roundtable on “The Role of Data in the Future of Digital Economy”. A business-oriented roundtable on “Big Data Success Stories” will be organized around successful Big Data Start-Ups and Unicorns.
